PURPOSE:To enable the same input signal to be converted into many kinds of internals codes, by enabling to change each key on the keyboard with the character display code conversion program according to the objective. CONSTITUTION:When an arbitrary key of the character system selection key device 2 on the operation section 1 of the keyboard is depressed, the signal (a) indicating the key position of the device 2 is output and input to the character system selection device 5. Thus, the device 5 outputs the instruction signal (i) and selects the code conversion program 9 to input to the signal (e) to the code conversion device 7. Next, the number (b) of the character pattern table 10 to be selected from the device 5 is output to the character display controller 6. Thus, the device 6 selects the table 10 and inputs the key position of the key device 3 stored on the table 10 and the character pattern to be displayed as the signal (f), and the output signal (c) is output to the device 3. When the device 3 is keyed, the signal (d) is produced to be inputted to the device 7, and the code (h) corresponding to the signal (d) is output to the external device 12 from the table 11 with the program 9. |
