PURPOSE:To prevent destruction of stored information, by cutting off a power supply, after a power supply controller confirms that a magnetic tape device is in the disconnectable state to the power supply in an information processor having a power supply controller. CONSTITUTION:When the operator instructs the cut-off of the system power supply, the system power supply cut-off signal S1 is fed to the power supply controller from CPU, and the cut-off prediction signal S2 is delivered. This signal outputs the rewinding indication signal S6 by the magnetic tape controller MTC to rewind the magnetic tape, and when the rewinding end signal S7 is detected, the power supply controller PC outputs the cut-off indication signal S4 to MTC, and the cut-off of power supply of magnetic tape MTV is made by detecting the cut-off end signal S5. After that, the power supply is cut off in the order of MTC, CPU and finally PC itself. |
