The noiseless shock damper incorporates an elastic annular component with internal and external peripheral grooves (29, 24) forming corrugated profiles when seen in vertical section. The grooves in the internal and external faces are offset in relation to each other in the axial direction. A tubular inner member (12) has external peripheral grooves mating with those in the annular component, and glued to it, and there is a tubular outer member (11), likewise with internal peripheral grooves and glued to the annular component. The top face (18) of the component tapers downwards and outwards, while its bottom face (19) is of curved concave section.
