<p>In a washing machine, either for laundry or washing-up a water distribution device works in conjunction with a programming system. The device dispenses with the use of expensive electrovalves, and comprises a fixed and a rotary casing which fit together, each having outlet ports. The outlet ports are brought to coincide when the programmer cam system moves the rotary casing in relation to the fixed casing at the appointed time in the washing cycle. The water, fed in from the top, passes out through the coincident ports as required, to be channelled towards containers for e.g. detergent or bleach.</p> |
