<p>The hydraulic ram control unit has a slide valve (12) with a barrier block (13) between it and the ram, the block having a release piston (32) working with a pilot valve (55,56) in a valve slide (37,38). The pilot valve is spring-loaded against a seat (53,54), while the slide valve has a cone face also spring-loaded against a seat. On the valve slide (37,38) there is a control flange (37',38') behind the cone face and with a precision edge (47,48). A throttle connection (85,86) leads to the outlet (33,34) from the space (79,80) behind the pilot valve.</p> |
