<p>Pressed sheets are sepd. from their steel cauls at the outlet of the press and a conveyor belt is reloaded with the cauls. The system has a separator, at least one belt to return the caul, and a tension roller for the belt plus a pressure unit for the caul which passes round the roller. The separator is stationary, it has a blade acting between the pressed sheet and its caul as they move forwards, the sheet passes over its top face; an underneath conveyor belt tilts about its end further from the press and reverses in its movements. System uses flat cauls, i.e. without any slots or projections, the caul return occupies little space and there is minimal caul distortion.</p> |
