The dryer (2) for bulk sand used for making building mortar is heated by the use of exhaust or other hot gases, and has a exit chute (4) at one end followed by the mixer (5). The mixer (5) also receives wet material from the supply conveyer (23). The dryer consists of a heated revolving drum (9) having a screw feeder (10). The material from the exit of the mixer is conveyed to storage by means of a conveyer.
