<p>A piece of furniture, such as a table, chair, which stands has sloping legs which increase the area on which the furniture stands, thereby increasing its stability. Each leg (4) fits into a recessed hole (7) in the furniture and is secured by a pin (6). The side of the leg (4) fitting against the underneath side (9) of the seat slopes according to the angle of tilt of the leg. The pin (6) is at right angles to the sloping side and also to the underneath side (9) of the seat (3). The depth (t) of the hole (7) in the seat (3) is slightly bigger than the length (l) of the pin (6).</p> |
