High integrity sealed electronics enclosure for mining environment - uses two cases one inside the other with electronic circuits set in resin in inner case

A robust mechanical protection in a mining environment is provided in the form of a rectangular box with open ends accepting a rectangular open top box which slides inside the first box. A printed circuit board contains control and signalling circuits with status indicator light emitting diodes and provides connection to input and output connectors. The printed circuit board is mounted inside the second box and connectors are fixed to this box to receive incoming cables. The outer case has holes drilled to allow status indicators to be seen and an end plate with gland and nut is inserted across the outer case end to allow passage of the exit cable. The circuit board is set in resin in the inner box which is then pushed into the outer case and fastened.
