The saddle clamp for a bicycle has the saddle at the top of a short tube (4) which locates in the upper part of the frame. Two angled clamps (6) are hinged about parallel transverse axes through the short tube and clamp the saddle springs. The clamp is simple to assemble and use. The upper section of the saddle support tube has flattened sides for a simple location of the pivot axes. The saddle clamp replaces multi part fittings and provides a simple, economic support, with a single tightening bolt to secure the saddle.
