PURPOSE:To improve durability and reliability without affected by contamination and damage by specifying peripheral length of a photoreceptor drum to that of a transfer drum in integer proportion and by separating the drums while no-picture areas of both the drums are made to agree as the drums rotate. CONSTITUTION:The radiuses of photoreceptor drum 10 and transfer drum 17 and arc lengths of their no-picture areas are equalized. Therefore, when the drums rotate by engaging with gears, those areas agree mutually all the time. At both ends of the outer circumferential parts of drum 17, flanges 44 and 45 are arranged and the end part of flange 45 is made into gear 48, which engages with gear 49 of drum 10. Both the gears have the same pitch circles and modules. To the no-picture area of drum 17, spacer 50 is fixed and transfer paper clampers 51 are arranged in the generating line direction and opens and closes from and to the circumferential surface of the drum synchronizing with the rotation position. Cover 55 has the same curved surface with the external circumferentail surface of drum 10 and is arranged at a position a little bit lower than the external circumferential surface. When the no-picture part areas agree through the rotations of the drums, the drums are contact-separated each other by spacer 50. |
