PURPOSE:To install a illumination system without leaving a large space before and after a photoreceptor, by scanning an original on an original table by using light sources positioned at an interval in the axial line direction of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Near image-forming lens 4, at least a couple of light sources 6 are provided at an interval in the axial line direction of photoreceptor 3, and those light sources 6 are rotated synchronously with lens 4 as photoreceptor 3 rotates to illuminate copied original 2 on original table 1. Then, each light source 6 illuminate the opposite side of original table 1, and consequently even when light sources 6 are provided closely to lens 4, any positive reflected light is not incident to lens 4 from original table 1, so that the illuminating system is easily installed in a samll space. Further, if light sources 6 are provided right under original table 1, they can be installed in parallel to the axial line of photoreceptor 1 and with their rotation centers agreeing with each other, so both the light sources is synchornized with each other without providing a complex synchronizing means between the both, so that the cost is reduced. |
