The variable RPM-driven pump arrangement is esp. a lubricant pump arrangement driven by an IC engine; it has a pump with a rotating displacement body, and a suction and a pressure chamber. A pressure pipe with connected pressure valve leads from the pressure chamber. The pressure chamber (7) is divided into two-part-chambers (4, 5), one being permanently connected to the pressure pipe (8). The second part chamber may be connected back- pressure free via a control valve (10) to the suction or the pressure chamber. The valve is demand-dependent controlled by the pressure in the pressure pipe. The dividing wall projects into a recess in the displacement body.
