Surface coating of moulded hollow glassware - where spraying head is located on swivel arm adjacent to finishing moulds on IS:machine

This is an addn. to 2836682, which described moulds on a machine used for mfg. hollow glassware. A gob is placed in a parison mould and is pressed or blown to make a parison. The parison is then transferred to one of two or more finishing moulds located on a turntable and used for final blowing of the glassware. The novelty in the present invention is that a vertical shaft is located alongside the turntable. The shaft can be raised, lowered, and rotated, and carries a horizontal arm fitted with a spraying head employed to coat either the internal or external surfaces of the glassware. Both the shaft and the arm are pref. hollow and are used to feed a coating material to the spraying head. Improvements to the main patent permitting simpler and faster coating of the glassware, esp. on an IS-machine.
