PURPOSE:To simplify the dust collector in the foundry to reduce considerably the equipment cost, by combining skillfully dust collecting systems for the melting furnace and the casting sand treatment equipment in the foundry. CONSTITUTION:Dust 11 which sucks and collects high-humidity powdery dust B generated in the casting sand treatment equipment through hood 10 is connected to the halfway part of duct 4 which sucks and collects gas A including dust at a high temperature generated from melting furnace 1 by hood 3, and bag filter 7, suction blasting fan 8, and smoke stack 9 are arranged in the succeeding stage. High-temperature gas A including dust from furnace 1 and high-humidity air current including dust current B from casting sand treatment equipment 2 are combined in the duct and become the gas with the lowered temperature and the humidity and are charged into bag filter 7, and therefore, conventional equipments such as the filter for high-temperature gas including dust, the cooler, and the Venturi scrubber for the high-temperature air current including dust are needless. |
