PURPOSE:To measure the moisture in gas, by using two parallel carbon base conductive board as electrodes and putting an adsorbing material of moisture between the electrodes and then, measuring the capacitance between the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A sample gas sucked from the inspiration hole 5 is entered the suction side air room 12 through the cylindrical member 8, guide hole 16 and honeycombed hole 11. The measuring electrode (a) putting the adsorbent 2, such as activated alumina, having a good adsorbing capacity of moisture between a pair of the facing electrodes 1 constituted by the porous carbon base conductive board. When the sample gas passes through the adsorbent 2 from the electrodes 1, adsorption equlibrum in accordance with the concentration of moisture is shown in the adsorbent 2. At this time, the moisture is maintained in the adsorbent 2 is concentrated condition and the electric capacity fluctuates between the electrodes 1 in accordance with the concentration of moisture in the sample, gas. Response is quick becuase the space of the electrode (a) is narrow and the sample gas is supplied from the electrode to the adsorbent directly and also, the electrode a has a corrosion resistance because of using the carbon base electrode. |
