PURPOSE:To prevent a breakdown of a core when it is assembled, by joining the cores together to obtain a core junction having the rear part width equal to the tape sliding surface having a gap and then forming the cut parts at the front part of the outer face of the core junction. CONSTITUTION:First the C-shaped core 20A of the ferrite having no cut part is jointed to the same type core 20B symmetrical to the core 20A, and then the gap G is formed on the tape sliding surface 21. Thus a core junction 24 is obtained with the coil 22 provided at the rear part of the cores 20A and 20B. Then the front part of the outer face of the junction 24 is cut to form the cut parts 23A and 23B on the outer side face of the cores 20A and 20B. Thus a magnetic head is obtained with a narrow width W of the surface 21 in comparison with the rear part. In such way, the ordinary C-shaped cores 20A and 20B can be applied to avoid a breakdown of the core when it is assembled. |
