The process and the device are related to the simple, economical, well tried and reliable manufacturing of food products in block shape which are comprised of at least two layers of vegetable starch extruded and expanded with intermediary and/or upper filling material and/or with coating material, with regular use, particularly as to the filling material and satisfactory quality as to the taste, food technology, packaging technics and particularly with a satisfactory outer appearance. The paste is extruded for all the layers at the same time by the same extrusion device and it is then expanded continuously. It is divided in continuous strips during extrusion or expansion, in the desired number of layers. The strip or strips of products other than the covering product are continuously superposed with adjoining the filling material to form the finished food product in block shape. |
