PURPOSE:To secure a simultaneous grinding for the front curved surfaces of a number of heads regardless of the thickness of a head half body, by fixing the positioning at the cut part of a butt-type magnetic head and based on the other butt surface. CONSTITUTION:The wedge-shaped hooking pawls 11-14 are formed at the upper part of the tool main body 10 with a certain space secured and lengthword. The butt-type magnetic head 1 is inserted among these pawls 11-14 with an engagement secured at the cut part. A plural number of pushers 16 and pressure screws 17 are provided on the main body 10 at the side of the flat surface of the hooking pawl. These screws 17 are operated to press the pushers 16 to the head 1, and thus each head 1 is positioned and fixed at one side part 15 of the pawls 11-14 and based on the butt surface of the half body 6. Then the front curved surface of the head 1 is ground by a forming rotary grindstone. In such way, a simultaneous grinding is possible for a number of heads' front curved surfaces in the same size and regardless of the thickness of the head half body. |
