DEVICE FOR PRODUCING AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF NONALKALINE SILICIC ACID AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To enable homogeneous mixing under a jetting pressure of water glass liquid from a nozzle at a low level in a short time, by providing a nozzle having the downward tip at a specific distance from the bottom on the center line perpendicular to the bottom of a cylindrical mixing vessel having a specific ratio of inside diameter/liquid level and specific volume to the liquid level. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical mixing vessel 1 having 1:0.6-1.0 ratio of inside diameter (B)/liquid level (A) and <=120l volume to the liquid level is used. A nozzle 2 having the downward tip 3 is placed so as to position at a distance within 200mm above the bottom (1a) on the center line perpendicular to the bottom (1a) of the vessel 1. An aqueous solution 10 of an acidic agent is then filled in the vessel 1 and water glass liquid is subsequently injected and mixed from the tip 3 of the nozzle 2 into the aqueous solution 10 under 30-5kgf/cm<2> pressure. Thereby the bottom (1a) itself serves as a baffle plate and the solution is forcibly circulated radially in all the directions so as to flow from the central part of the bottom along the vessel wall surface and both liquids are homogeneously mixed in an extremely short time. As a result, high-speed agitation is not required.
