<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the skew of a sheet and improve the reliability of the sheet conveyance by detecting the size of the sheet to be conveyed, and regulating the pressure applied to both ends of a pair of resist rollers according to said detection signal. CONSTITUTION:When the print button is depressed, by paper feed rollers, a sheet S on the mounting table is fed and once stopped by a pair of resist rollers 7 and 8. When the size of the sheet S is detected by a size detecting means 31, according to said signal, a motor 28 rotates a given amount, so that a cam 26 causes the third lever 21 to rock by a given angle. Thereby, the pressure applied to the resist roller pair 7 and 8 is regulated. Then, a solenoid 24 is excited so as to rock the first lever 11 through an arm 23 in order to separate the second roller 8 from the first roller 7. Accordingly, the sheet S is conveyed by the electrostatic attraction of a photosensitive drum 1 or the like.</p> |
