PURPOSE:To enable direct reading of the tension of a drawing wire by supporting the tension meter on the perpendicular bisector of two fixed wheels in such a manner that it can be adjusted for its vertical motion and by providing a moving wheel for stretching the drawing wire at the lower end of the tension meter. CONSTITUTION:Two fixed wheels 4 and 5 are provided in the lower part of the base 1 of the tension meter for laying an underground cable and on the perpendicular bisector thereof the spindle 11 of the tension meter 8 is supported by its piercing through a hole 12 in the upper part of the base 11 and being screwed to a handle 13. The underground cable W is stretched between the moving wheel 17 and the fixed wheels 4, 5 and, by turning the hanble 13, adjustment is performed so that the shaft 18 of the moving wheel 7 comes on a line connecting right and left balance marks 22. From the position of the indicator 10 of the tension meter 8 on a scale 9 at this time, the tension applied to the wire W is read directly. |
