PURPOSE:To inspect exactly the precision of the copied key after cutting by fitting firmly an original key and the copied key to a chuck block moving longitudinally and laterally, by matching a copying piece with the original and by fitting a guide piece at the tip of the movable rod of a dial gage. CONSTITUTION:On the lateral side of the chuck block 3 are provided positioning rulers 35 moving forward and backward in front of both chucks 32 and 33 so as to set positional bases for the time when the original key and the copied key are chucked and fixed. Moreover, a supporting arm 41 is provided in projection from a machine bed 1 and the copying piece 4 is fitted thereto correspondingly to the chuck 32, while a detecting mechanism 5 having another copying piece 55 is installed in the rear of the other chuck 33. By transferring a movable bed 2 including the chuck block 3 by the operation of a feeding shaft 13 in such a constitution, copying pieces 4 and 55 are transfer red copying the threads and roots of the original key and copied key, and at that time, an error between the copied key and the original key is represented as deflection of an indicator caused by the forward and backward motion of an inspecting rod driven by the copying piece 55, whereby the minute error can be detected accurately. |
