PURPOSE:To obtain the objective substance, efficiently, economically, in an industrial scale, by culturing nosiheptide-producing bacteria belonging to Actinoplanes genus, and separating nosiheptide from the cultured product. CONSTITUTION:Nosiheptide-producing bacteria belonging to Actinoplanes genus, e.g. Actinoplanes No.C-21740 (FERM-P No.5439), are cultured in a conventional cultivation medium contaiing nutrious sources such as glucose, defatted soybean flur, etc. The culturing is carried out by submerged technique with aeration which is conventional process for the production of antibiotic substances. The objective substance is separated by a method normally used in the separation of a fat-soluble antibiotic substance. For example, the objective substance is obtained by adding a solvent such as ethyl acetate to the cultured product, extracting the substance under stirring, washing with water, concentrating, and subjecding to e.g. filtration, chromatography, recrystallization, etc. |
