PURPOSE:To measure the thermal capacity of a solid material and a gas precisely based on a heat quantity supplied when a fluidized layer of the particles of the solid material formed of the particles of the solid material and the flow of the gas is raised in temperature at an equal speed under heat insulation. CONSTITUTION:The fluidized layer 6 of particles of the solid material is formed on a diffusion plate 7 from the particles of the solid material and the flow of the gas. Moreover, temperature measuring elements such as thermocouples, not shown in the figure, are provided at temperature measuring points 12-14 set at equal intervals on the line of the central axis of the main body 2 of the measuring device and at positions 12'-14' corresponding to the aforesaid temperature measuring points 12-14 inside an outside heater 3, respectively. And, the difference in temperature between corresponding positions being read, the outside heater 3 and an inside heater 4 are controlled so as for them to have equal temperature constantly and the control of the temperature of the whole device is performed based on the temperature at the temperature measuring point 13 in the central part and the temperature measuring point 13' corresponding to the former. Accordingly, while the difference in temperature between the layer 6 and the heater 4 is kept at zero by a control part 5, the layer 6 is raised in temperature at the designated equal speed of raising temperature under heat insulation, and from the heat quantity required for this rise in temperature at equal speed the thermal capacity of the solid material and the gas can be known. |
