PURPOSE:To facilitate correct chucking in such a way that height in the level of a work center and its pushing point is determined to satisfy a certain prescribed formula, and eccentricity of a work and a chuck can be perfectly absorbed. CONSTITUTION:The height h from the work center to its pushing point can be defermined through the following formula, while taking into account the frictional force due to relative slidings between a work 30 and its pushing plate 21, and also the weight of work 30 at the time of absorbing eccentricity. Resolution of the balance of turning moment around a fulcrum (A) derives h>LW/F+(muL-d/2), (provided that L should be the work length, W be the work weight, mu be the frictional coefficient between the work and push-plate, and d be the work diameter), and also h<d/2 is applicable. With determination of h which should be derived from the both formulae, eccentricity of the work 30 and the chuck 31 can be perfectly absorbed, so that a correct chucking condition may be achieved. |
