The visor (2) which is designed with forked ends (11) which are each provided inside with opposing recesses (10) is itself detachably fixed on the crash-helmet casing (1) by two rotatable holders (3) each of which is mounted on the outside on each side of the casing (1). Each holder has a moulded attachment or lever (7) which is provided inside with two opposite peripheral projections (9) which can engage through pressure in the recesses (10) of the visor (2). A helical spring (12) holds the holders (3) in the raised position. The visor can be simply raised and lowered with one hand and can also be easily replaced when worn by releasing the projections of the holders from the recesses.
