<p>The vehicle seat has a hydraulic damper incorporated in the bottom of the seat structure. The damper (3) is totally enclosed and has a membrane (3.1) separating two chambers, and with the bottom chamber enclosed by a preformed shell (2) under the seat structure. The foam cushion (1) has a support plate (3.5) embedded in it linked to a vertical control rod (3.4) the bottom of which operates the flow control valve in the centre of the membrane, and which moves the membrane up and down. The seat cushion can be a simple foam layer without complex springs.</p> |
