Prefabricated joint for panel - includes seals with enlarged edges which fit into co-operating channels down panel edges

The sealing joint between two prefabricated panels (1,2) uses shaped profiles (4,5) mounted along the panel edges which contain at least one longitudinal channel opening into a cylindrical conduit (7) in the body of the respective panel. The channels are aligned with one another and then a seal (8) is simultaneously slipped down the associated conduits (7). The seal is made up of a strip (9) having a hollow rib (10) along each edge into which rigid rods (12) are inserted. Hardenable material is injected under pressure between the ribs and inserted rods.
