<p>The extraction screw extends horizontally just above the flat bottom of the silo and is caused to rotate slowly about the control vertical axis of the silo for complete radial wiping of the silo bottom. The extracted material is fed to a central discharge conduit. The rotation of the extraction screw is effected via a hydraulic motor directly coupled to it, with its radial displacement effected sequentially via a double action hydraulic jack. The motor and the jack are supplied via a common central hydraulic system, with the jack using the residual energy of the motor. The axis of the discharge conduit has a housing with water-tight joints for the hydraulic feed and return lines. A freewheel is attached to the lower shaft cooperating with the reciprocating stem of the jack via a connecting rod. An electrical distribution unit is used to direct fluid flow in accordance with sensor outputs.</p> |
