PURPOSE:To prevent the ignition to the wedge when an abnormal overheating occurs or a fire breaks out while in operation of a rotary electric machine as well as to prevent the burning of the wiring located inside a slot by a method wherein a flame resisting material is mixed in the wedge made of resin to be inserted to the aperture section of the slot. CONSTITUTION:The flame resisting material is mixed in the wedge 5 to be inserted to the aperture of the slot 2 wherein a winding 3 is placed. As the flame resisting material, a halogen compound, an organic phosphorous compound and the like may be used and hydrated alumina is added as occasion demands. Also, the reinforcing material such as glass, cotton, carbon fibers and the like may be mixed. Through the procedures, the winding 3 is not burnt when a partial abnormal overheating caused by the abnormal contact between a rotor and a stator due to a trouble of bearing and the like, is occured. |
