摘要 PURPOSE:To reduee displacement in a deflection position, by a method wherein an actual charge voltage of charged ink particles, which bring a deflection orbit into a set deflection position, is measured, and based on the measurements and a step correction factor of each deflection step, a charge voltage is regulated. CONSTITUTION:Ink is jetted through an ink nozzle as it is also oscillated to regularly separate it into ink particles, and the ink particles are charged and deflected to perform an ink jet recording. A charge voltage Vcs of charged ink particle field in a set deflection position Xds is detected, and a charge voltage is found from the Vcs and Xds and a step correction factor betai corresponding to each deflection position Xdi. With said charge voltage applied to a charging electrode, a correct charging on the ink particles is carried out. Particularly, this is useful to prevent displacement in a deflection position in the case of multistage deflection in which several levels of chargings are conducted on the ink particles jetted through a single ink nozzle.
