The simply constructed and cost-effective frame of skeletal construction has vertical limbs (1) which are arranged at the corners of the frame and are connected to one another at the top and at the bottom of the frame by flexible endless metal strips (2 and 6). These endless strips are passed around the limbs and are tensioned by means of clamping devices (4 and 8) which are arranged between the limbs (1). Each clamping device (4, 8) has a central hub (11), elongated struts (12) which extend outward from the hub (11) and in each case engage with one limb (1) as well as an adjusting device having a screw (19) by means of which the struts (12) are pressed outwards in order to tension the endless strips (2, 6) such that the frame remains stiff. The bottom, top and other sides of the frame are clad with sheet metal and a door which can pivot. <IMAGE>
