A weight being measured is applied to a platform attached to a deformable bar assembly. On the bar are glued sets of three resistances to form the strain gauges. The outputs from strain gauges resistance groups are applied to Wheatstone bridge circuits which provide individual outputs. These outputs are applied by an analogue switch to an A/D converter for input to a memory. The measured values are then compared to provide a display of the weight value. The divergences between the strain gauge outputs are themselves fed to a second comparator, which gives an appropriate output signal if the divergences do not exceed a predetermined threshold. The output from the comparator enables a display which indicates the mean values, in the case of admissible divergences, or a unique common result in the case of total absence of divergence from the strain gauge outputs.
|
