PURPOSE:To enhance safety and reliability when two or more superconductive coils are arranged nearby by a method wherein the ratio between the values of protective resistors of two or more superconductive coils is made as to satisfy the specified relational expression consisted of the ratio of current in the respective coils and of mutual inductance. CONSTITUTION:When current values in two or more superconductive coils are signified as I10, I20...In0 and mutual inductance between the j-th and the k-th superconductive coils as Mjk, the values of the respective protective resistors R1, R2...Rn are defined as shown in the expression I, and especially when the number of the superconductive coils is two, the values of the respective protective resistors R1, R2 are made to as satisfy the expression II (L1, L2 are self-inductance, M is mutual inductance). Accordingly the current to flow when switches 4, 8 of the respective coils are made to open at the same time are damped, intensional and thermal breakdown of coil are eliminated and safety and reliability can be enhanced. |
