PURPOSE:To obviate the need for dryer as well as avoid mal-operation of expansion valve and accident caused by corrosion in evaporator, etc., by using a refrigerant to which is added an easily soluble organic solvent during the refrigerating cycle of a refrigerator. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant, e.g., Flon R-12, etc., to which is added an easily soluble organic solvent, e.g., an alcohol, aldehyde, ketone, etc., is confined in the refrigerating cycle of a refrigerator for the car cooler of truck, bus, etc. Thus, the amount of water soluble in the refrigerant can be increased. If the organic solvent in an amount corresponding to the maximum amount of water soluble in the refrigerant at maximum working temperature is added in advance to the refrigerant, no water is separated by changes in temperature, the loss ratio of the refrigerant to the organic solvent is almost constant, and their volumetric ratio can therefore be kept almost constant semipermanently. |
