The adhesive bonded floor for a car boot has a preformed floor which locates in slots under the boot surround using profiled lips. These support the structure while the adhesive hardens and finally forms a watertight structure. The snap fastening provides a low cost assembly with no special tools required. The floor can be loaded as soon as it is fitted and once fitted does not move. The boot floor surround has angled flanges to take the slots as well as angled surfaces to take the bonding faces.
