The safe container for data recordings etc. is designed to provide total protection against fire hazard. The rectangular section is built with an outer layer (16) and an inner layer produced from an asbestos free fibre silicate material. The space in between is filled with a heat resistant wool material (14). The outer layer is manufactured as a composite, formed with three layers of fibre silicate. Intermediate braces (26) are used for bonding the individual plates. The inner layer incorporates a thin sheet of material that prevents the ingress of either smoke or moisture into the internal volume. The complete assembly is built around a steel frame (26) and entry is gained through a sealed door.
