<p>The car transporter conversion for a flat bed truck, or railway waggon has guide rails (3) along each side of the load surface to take securing clamps (7). The cars are secured onto pallets (12) which are dropped between the guides and secured by the clamps. The clamps are adjustable to fit any length of pallet. The palletised loads are simply dropped onto the trucks using fork lift trucks. No loading ramps or complex cranes are required and the load transfer can be performed at any siding. The pallet design can be used on lorries, even with a double deck loading as the fork lift access is from the side.</p> |
