The system supplies a cooling and lubricating agent to a gear tooth flank grinding machine. It has an indexing double-cone grinding wheel acting in succession against the tooth flanks on opposite sides of each toothe gap, nozzles delivering the lubricant under pressure to both. Cams on the workpiece slide actuate a change-over device via signal emitters, depending on the slide travel direction, so that the lubricant is delivered alternately to one or the other of the nozzles. This increases the lubricant supply to the grinding point, with elaborate ducting.
