PURPOSE:To obtain oil-contg. coal granules of large grain sizes and a narrow grain size distribution by putting a coal slurry added with binders in an agitating tank provided with a rotating shaft, and agitating the slurry with the metallic agitating vanes mounted to the rotating shaft. CONSTITUTION:A coal slurry added with binders such as heavy oil, kerosene, light oil and the like is agitated with a homogenizer to disperse the heavy oil etc. in the slurry, thence it is subjected to the primary granulation. When the slurry after the primary granulation is put in an agitating tank 1 provided with an rotating shaft 3 and is agitated with the metallic agitating vanes 4 mounted to the rotating shaft 3, the binders are stuck on the surfaces of the coal particles and are granulated. Upon ending of this secondary granulation, the granules are classified under water on a sieve and the stuck water is removed in a thermostatic chamber, whereby the coal granules in the form of oil-contg. pellets are recovered. |
