Arrangement is intended for carrying out the final rinsing treatment of a flexible photo-polymeric plastic printing plate after exposure and first wash. The final aq. rinsing soln. normally contains chlorine and hydrochloric acid. The plate is placed inside a closable chamber and the prepared rinsing soln. then sprayed on to the plate. The used soln. runs down and into an enclosed reservoir via a water lock so that no vapour can escape from the reservoir either to the chamber or to outside. The soln. is pref. prepd. in an enclosed mixing chamber immediately before being sprayed on to the plate. The soln. may be temp.-controlled and the chamber may be held at lower than atmospheric pressure. Used in prepn. of flexible photo-polymeric plastic printing plate. Final rinse in chlorine and hydrochloric acid-contg. soln. is carried out in enclosed chamber such that neither the soln. nor its vapour comes into contact with outside air.
