PURPOSE:To perform accurate decision making and measurement sensitively and sharply by a simple device with the naked eye by measuring the color shift of image formation due to two optical paths by colors. CONSTITUTION:White light W from one light source 1 is emitted as a spot through an image slit 2 and a dichroic mirror 3 forms the optical paths by two different colors, i.e. green G and red R. Then dichroic mirrors 3 and 4 or 5 and 6 are two sides of a triangle. Then they project the light on a target projection surface 10 through projection lenses 8 and 9 along spot straight optical paths so as to form an image 11 by crossing each other at a narrow angle theta. Here, a measurement is taken by considering that when the image 11 is white, there is no color deviation and the angle theta indicates a correct distance; and it is decided whether or not an estimated distance is longer or shorter than an actual distance when a color deviation of green G or red R is caused on both sides of the image 11, and a technical means is realized which measures the correct distance from the surface 10.
