The solar heat collector has the transverse ribs between the channels (2,1) alternately uncovering and bridging them. The remaining lengthwise channels can be trapezium-shaped, and the inlet and discharge ports (3,4) can be opposite the non-continuous ribs, and also on the same side. This arrangement ensures that the fluid flowing through the heat collector follows a sinusoidal path, with max. heat exchange contact. The collector may be made of plastics material.
