The IC prime mover has a casing housing a continuously-turning rotor in a working chamber with gas inlets and outlets. This rotor is a circular cylinder end-tight in the substantially elliptical chamber with whose surface it makes contact at diametrically opposed points. Of the separate chambers thus created one communicates with the outlet, the other with the inlet. Slots in the rotor alternately house work sliders and compression sliders pressed against the chamber sidewall cyclically in succession in the direction of rotation. The rotor periphery embodies combustion recesses. Diametrically-opposed cranks on a fixed central spindle respectively carry con-rods for the slider sets.
