<p>The feed device is for battery hens. It has a feed trough extending over several adjacent cages. A feed truck can move along the trough and has a filler pipe. The opening (3) of the filler pipe (1) is introduced so far into the trough (2) that the front filler pipe wall (5) directed at the outer trough wall (4) projects almost to the outer trough wall (4).
