The pommel has an arched upper section passed over the withers of the horse, from which shanks extend downwards on both sides to fit into the saddle structure, while collision springs are fitted to it on both sides. The horizontal supporting arm (4) of each spring, integral with the pommel, extends from its rear edge between the arched upper portion (1) and the shank (2). It has a hinged locking lever (5) at its free end. An integral saddle girth fixing point (6,7) can also extend rearwards between the arched portion and each shank.
|
