Measuring maxima of measuring valves varying with time - using flexible system contg. microprocessor with external non-volatile memory

A device for measurement of the max. values of time varying measurement values fed to a measurement mechanism via a pulse transducer contains a microprocessor with an external, non-volatile memory. The microprocessor provides the display section with maximum values in the form of digital numbers. The arrangement is applicable as an auxiliary device for electricity meters and overcomes the limitation of similar arrangements in that the functions they can perform are fixed. The microprocessor has a conventional arrangement of a central unit, program/data memory and input/output section. It is connected to the non-volatile memory, a programming device, a display triggering key, the display, and an identification unit. The programming unit contains input switches and a key. The system may also be used for flow maximum measurement of fluids and heat.
