PURPOSE:Two absorption bands are set in the absorption column and the reaction mixture gas from the first reformer is led into the first absorption band to remove carbon dioxide, then the resultant gas is sent to the second reformer to effect the reaction and the absorption solution in the second absorption band is combined with the one in the first absorption band, thus increasing the carbon dioxide conversion. CONSTITUTION:A carbon monoxide-containing mixture gas is sent through pipe 7 and heater 15 together with high-temperature steam fed from pipe 8 into the first reformer 1 where the shift reaction is effected in the reforming zone A filled with a catalyst to form carbon dioxide. The resultant mixture gas is sent through heater 15 and reboiler 5a into the lower absorption band in the absorption column 3 where carbon dioxide is absorbed and removed. The rest of the mixture gas is fed through pipe 22 and heater 16 along with steam from pipe 23 into the second reformer 2 where the sift reaction is effected in the reforming band B filled with a catalyst. The resultant gas is sent through heater 16 and reboiler 5b into the absorption band D in the upper part of the column 3 to remove carbon dioxide by absorption. At the same time, hydrogen gas is recovered by separation. The absorption solution is sent to regenerator 4 to separate carbon dioxide and pressurized into the top of the column 3. |
