The rotary joint comprises inner and outer rings and bearing portions transmitting axial and radial forces between them. Both rings (1,16) have detachable bearing portions secured to them, those on the inner one (1) consisting of steel slide tracks (12-14) whose running surfaces (31-33) have a Rockwell C hardness of at least 40. The mating portions (23-25) on the outer rings are of lower hardness. The bearing portions on the inner ring can be of case-hardened steel, or alternatively hard-chromed, or hard- nickelled. Those on the outer ring can be plastic coated. |
